The patented puncture structure can penetrate the wire insulation layer installed in the wire groove to form an electrical connection; the unique arc striking fork is closely connected with the upper end of the insulator through bolts, and the other end is the discharge end, which is installed on the lower end of the insulator. The ground electrode forms a discharge gap; and an insulating cover wraps all the exposed hardware parts on the upper end of the insulator except the discharge end of the arc-striking fork.
Under normal conditions, the discharge gap of the lightning protection insulator does not act; only when the lightning overvoltage exceeding the specified value occurs, the gap between the arc striking fork and the ground electrode can be broken down to form a short-circuit channel. The continuous power frequency arc will burn on the arc-striking fork of the wire clamp, releasing overvoltage energy to protect the wire from burns
