Product Description

    Pin insulators are the oldest insulators in High-voltage transmission and distribution lines. Due to its simple manufacture, low cost, convenient installation, and reduced tower height (pin insulators are installed most strictly, and the grounding part is as follows), it is widely used in ordinary areas where the rated voltage of the three-phase power system is 6-35kV. The frequency does not exceed 100Hz. In the field of high-voltage overhead power lines, it is used to insulate and support wires.

    Pin insulators, also known as pin bottles, consist of insulating members and steel legs, and are rigid insulators that are rigidly mounted on a support structure by steel feet secured to the inside of the insulator. Porcelain, steel feet (or spiral sleeves) are bonded with Portland cement and quartz sand glue of not less than 42.5 grade. The steel foot rubber is pressed into the porcelain piece to form a deep groove to prevent the steel foot from loosening; the steel elastic pad is placed between the top of the foot and the porcelain piece. The surface of the porcelain is usually brown glaze or white glaze, and the steel feet are hot-dip galvanized.

    Pin insulators are rigid insulators used to insulate and support lines on transmission and distribution lines and are rigidly mounted to the support structure by means of pin insulators fixed in insulating holes.

    Pin insulators are divided into two types according to their structure: glued type and zinc sleeve thread type. The glued type is the direct bonding of porcelain with cement and feet. The steel feet are pressed into the porcelain part and have deep grooves to prevent the steel feet from loosening, and elastic pads are placed between the top of the steel feet and the porcelain piece. The zinc sleeve threaded connection method is that the inner hole of the porcelain piece is first filled with the zinc threaded sleeve with cement glue, and then the thread of the threaded sleeve is connected with the steel foot. The zinc screw sleeve has a cushioning effect and also facilitates the replacement of porcelain parts. There are also mechanical connections made of porcelain threads.
